FAQ

Box office

The call centre is open Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., except on statutory holidays.

The box office is open on event days starting at 4 p.m.

You can purchase tickets on our website at any time. If you have a non-urgent question about buying tickets, please send an email to serviceclient@theatrecapitole.com

The Théâtre Capitole is now a 100% digital transaction environment.

Visa, MC, AMEX and debit cards are accepted.

Note that purchases made online or by phone can be paid only by credit card.

If you don't have a credit card, you can buy your tickets in person at the box office with a debit card.

Alternatively, you could purchase a prepaid credit card at certain retail outlets or financial institutions. You will then need to activate your card and keep it until the date of the event.

As the number of tickets available for people with reduced mobility is very limited, please call us on the phone to reserve. This allows us to assess each person's specific needs and reserve the seats exclusively for those who need them. (418-694-4444)

To buy tickets with a gift card, call 418-694-4444. We will enter the reservation in your file and you can pay with the gift card in person at the box office on the night of the event.

The doors open one hour before the show.

In the case of a dinner show, we begin seating guests at 5:30 p.m. to be able to provide service that meets your expectations.

Please note that the restrooms open at the same time as the doors to the theatre.

The closest public parking is the Place d’Youville parking garage, across the street from the theatre. The entrance is beside the Palais Montcalm. Rates range from $15 to $20 for the evening.

There is also metered street parking nearby, but availability is not guaranteed.

You can take Métrobus lines from either Upper Town or Lower Town to the theatre (lines 807, 800, 801).

To find a specific route, go to the Réseau de transport de la Capitale website (rtcquebec.ca) and click on the Bus Itinerary tab.

Yes, but wheelchair-accessible spaces are limited. They are located at the entrance to the theatre, in section 600, which can be reached without climbing stairs.

We have a wheelchair available to help you get from the entrance to your seat, but we can't lend for the entire evening in case it is needed by someone else.

There is a restroom on the ground floor that is accessible to guests with reduced mobility.

We have five hearing aids available for people with impaired hearing. We ask borrowers to leave a piece of ID as security.

Yes, we use FM 99.9. You can tune in your hearing aid via Bluetooth.

Please fill out the lost item form. We will contact you if we find it.

The purchase of gift cards has been suspended indefinitely. Those already purchased remain valid with the usual conditions. You can use them to:

- Buy tickets at the Théâtre Capitole box office;
- Make reservations by telephone during opening hours (Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.).

You can find out how much is left on your gift card by calling the box office, writing to serviceclient@theatrecapitole.com or visiting the box office during opening hours.

To find tickets you purchased online, open the Ticketmaster app or visit ticketmaster.ca on your cellphone browser. Sign into your account and go to the “My Events” tab.

Select the order for your event. Then you can view your ticket details, add your mobile tickets to the digital wallet on your phone, or transfer them to someone else.

If you are having trouble signing into your Ticketmaster account, need assistance resetting your password or are experiencing other account issues, please refer to the Ticketmaster help centre

Your phone is your ticket. You will not receive a ticket by email. You can access your tickets through your Ticketmaster customer account.

Download the Ticketmaster app to help you manage your mobile tickets.

Note that screenshots, photos and print-outs of mobile tickets are not accepted.

Note: At the promoter’s request, the barcode on your ticket may be hidden until 72 hours before your event.

Visit the Théâtre Capitole box office on the day of your event

We will need your confirmation number, the credit card used to purchase the tickets and an ID card to find your order and access your tickets.

You can send tickets to friends and family using Ticket Transfer. This secure method allows you to transfer some or all of your tickets from your Ticketmaster account to another Ticketmaster account.

Once you have transferred a ticket, it is removed from your account and you can no longer use it. Do NOT transfer a ticket to your own account. The purpose of Ticket Transfer is to send tickets to another person who will accompany you to the event.

If you are going to the event together, you can keep the tickets in your account and have them scanned together at the entrance.

NOTE: If the Ticket Transfer option is not available, the promoter or artist may have set restrictions that disable this feature for that event.

HOW TO TRANSFER A MOBILE TICKET ON YOUR CELLPHONE:

  1. Open the Ticketmaster app and sign in to your account.
  2. Select your order in My Events.
  3. Tap Transfer. If the Transfer button is greyed out, your tickets cannot be transferred.
  4. Select the tickets you wish to transfer, and tap Transfer to.
  5. Enter the recipient’s contact information, including their phone number and email address. If you wish, you can add a note. If you enter the recipient’s cellphone number, the link to claim the ticket will be sent by text message. If you enter the recipient’s email address, the link to claim the ticket will be sent by email.
  6. Tap Transfer ticket.
  7. Make sure you tell the recipient to accept the ticket transfer.

All sales are final and there are no refunds. Before purchasing tickets, carefully review your event and seat selection. Event promoters' policies generally prevent us from exchanging or refunding tickets once they have been purchased.

If your event is cancelled or postponed, please refer to the next section of this FAQ.

If you're no longer able to attend the show, certified resale may be an option, but make sure you understand how it works on the ticketmaster.ca site. Note that certified resale is not available for all events. It is activated only at the request of the promoter and/or the artist.

The seating map shows the venue’s layout but is subject to change at any time. Refunds will not be issued because the seating map has been updated, additional seats or rows have been added, or seating has been changed as a result of a venue change after tickets were purchased.

CANCELLED

In general, if your event is cancelled, no action is required on your part. Ticketmaster will keep you informed and refund the full amount of the order (excluding any courier fees) to the card that was used to make the purchase.

Allow 30 working days following the cancellation for reimbursement.

If you purchased the tickets yourself, return them to the outlet where you bought them.

If the tickets were transferred to you, the refund will be made to the person who originally purchased them from Ticketmaster.

POSTPONED

If your event is postponed, Ticketmaster will notify you of the new date and time as soon as possible. Your original tickets will be honoured at the door. Ticketmaster will also provide you with full details of refund options and the refund period authorized by the promoter following a postponement.

All information will be sent to the email address associated with your purchase.

The Théâtre Capitole and Gestev strongly advise against purchasing tickets from unauthorized resellers.

We can only guarantee the validity of tickets purchased from our official ticket vendors:

The validity of tickets bought from unauthorized sellers can only be checked when you arrive at the Théâtre Capitole for the event. You are putting your trust and your money in the hands of a third party, and there are no guarantees. The risk of fraud is high. We urge caution.

Please note that we can only guarantee the validity of tickets purchased from authorized sales outlets. However, some fan clubs do sell tickets and/or VIP packages themselves.

We recommend contacting the resale site where you purchased your tickets, or checking with your credit card company to see if it is possible to cancel the transaction. You can also contact the Office de protection du consommateur du Québec if you encounter a problem with a resale site.

Ticketmaster’s certified fan-to-fan resale platform lets you buy and sell tickets at the price set by the artists. It’s simple and secure.

Here's how to recognize certified resale tickets on ticketmaster.ca:

Please note that certified resale is not available for all events and is activated only at the request of the promoter and artist.

Since refunds and exchanges are not permitted, certified resale may be an option if you are no longer able to attend an event.

Be sure to understand how certified resale works using the tools available on ticketmaster.ca.

If you purchased certified resale tickets on ticketmaster.ca, please allow up to 24 hours for them to appear in your purchased tickets account.
